go
Go vanity import paths: go.xvii.network/<repo> answers ?go-get=1 with go-import and go-source meta
tags pointing at the project's Git host (<git host>/xvii-network/<repo>). Stage 1.
For now it is a static site deployed on pages (alias go, custom domain go.<d>), one HTML file per
repository plus an index, generated from a list in the go repo by a CI job. A binary is only needed if
it ever has to answer dynamically.
Later the site gets a real page on our stack (Vite + shadcn, still static on pages): every module with its
description, latest tag, a copyable go get line, and package documentation rendered from the source,
like pkg.go.dev for the private modules.
Private repositories: developers set GOPRIVATE=go.xvii.network and have Git access to the GitLab group
(SSH or a token in ~/.netrc); CI jobs use CI_JOB_TOKEN in .netrc.
