For everyone
- Services: every installed service with its state.
- Projects from id with a team filter, each linking to its resources in every service.
- Activity: the journal of every service, with labels for each action.
- Search (⌘K): asks every service's search and groups the results.
For superusers
- Services: version, health, the newest release with an Update button (health-checked, rolled
back on failure); settings as a form (secrets write-only, plus free
KEY=value pairs; saving restarts
the service); logs; restart, stop, start, remove (data, database and settings stay). id and home can't
be stopped.
- Instance: domain, versions, the release store, the CLI, every service's releases.
- Switcher: order, names, icons and visibility of services in every panel, plus links of your own.
- Look: name, accent colour, logo, background, panel colours. See Look and branding.
How it runs
home signs people in through id and reads id's API with their token. It talks to xvii-node over a local
socket (/run/xvii/node.sock) to install, update and configure services, and writes the release store.
CI uploads releases with POST /api/v1/admin/releases?version=vX.Y.Z.
